Thibault Back de Surany

One of the most versatile musicians of his generation,Thibault Back de Surany has conducted throughout Europe, Asia and the United States. He is currently assistant conductor of the OJEX in Badajoz, Spain and works with Les Musiciens du Louvre under Marc Minkowski.. Equally at ease in operatic and symphonic music, Thibault's  repertoire goes from Monteverdi to contemporary music.

Specialized in Historical Performance, he founded the Salzburg based ensemble The Van Swietens, dedicated to early music programmed together with new music written for period instruments.
